As of 31st July 2025, Sports Interactive have revealed on their FMDB website the Womens Database for the first time.

Although this is not official confirmation we can see that there is a great level of detail and effort made by the team at Sports Interactive to bring a fully immersive ecosystem in to FM26 and beyond.

What is FMDB?

FMDB or Football Manage Database is Sports Interactive's relaunched commercial arm looking to work with Professional Clubs and analytical companies to provide access to their famous Scouting network and database.

In May, Sports Interactive hinted via Linkedin at the relaunch of FMDB but there was not a lot of information provided and no official launch has come since. However, in recent weeks they have been updating their website with API information and Coverage for both their Men's and Women's Database.

What does this mean for FM26?

Well we already know that the Premier League is coming to Football Manager.

We can see in FMDB that the Premier League is clearly referenced in the FMDB, where as Liga Nos in Portugal is still referred to Portuguese Premier League.

So what leagues appear to be licenced in Womens DB

Notable licences featured within the list

  • Barclays Women's Super League (England)

  • Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga (Germany)

  • Serie A Femminile eBay (Italy)

  • OBOS Damallsvenskan (Sweden)

  • SOMPO WE League (Japan)

  • Ninja A-League (Australia)

Also there are the non licensed Scottish, French, Spanish, Swiss, Brazillian, Colombian, Argentine leagues just to name a few, we already know due to communication at the time of the licensing of the UEFA Champions League that the Womens Champions League will also be available to Football Manager too.

What Nations/Leagues will be playable?

Well currently we have no official announcement but given there is over 30,000 players and 5,000 staff with leagues smaller than Men's equivalent we can hope that the depth of nations and league will extend into comparison with the Men but on a smaller scale due to leagues and numbers.

When will we hear more news about FM26?

That is the golden question that nobody really has the answer too but there are encouraging albeit limited snippets of information coming out and hopefully it will be in the coming weeks!

If you want to hear about more depth of the leagues included why not watch the following video and subscribe to our Youtube Channel
