FM26 Console release date confirmed

The last 24 hours have been chaotic to say the least, Sports Interactive dropped a lot of information on the 10th September. But a lot of questions from the Console community were.

Questions Left Hanging

The announcement created more questions than answers for those who play FM on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch. Some of the biggest include:

When is FM26 Console coming out?
Is it releasing on day one alongside the PC/Mac version?
What does the new console UI even look like?

Why the Silence Matters

For console fans, this isn’t just a side issue. Console editions have grown in popularity, offering a more streamlined experience without losing too much of the depth that makes Football Manager iconic. However with the triumphant announcment that PC/Mac edition will be returning on the 4th November with potential Advanced Access at least two weeks before launch yet we still don’t know what shape Console is taking.

Why we shouldn't panic

There are a few theories behind the lack of information:

Marketing strategy: SI may be staggering news, building hype by focusing on one platform at a time.
Development build testing: The console version may not yet approved through testing approvals

What is the FM26 Console release date?

The simple answer is Yes, The Website and Steam have confirmed that FM26 Console will be launched on 4th November 2025, but without Advanced Access. Pre Orders will take place from October. The PC/Mac edition is listed as £50 recently confirming a price point mentioned by Miles Jacobson in interviews.

There's no confirmation where Console pricepoint but it is expected to be similar with an incentive discount for preorders.
