There's been a lot of clamour in the past for Football Manager to get licenced stadiums but hopes have been raised in the build up to FM25, given that they are moving to the unity engine, and that the matchday experience is said to be improving.

With the Premier League coming to Football Manager in FM25, there is speculation within the community about whether this means realistic stadiums?
However, when reading the SI forums, it would appear that the Licensing agreements in place do not request stadium licences.
Back in 2022, it was explained that the licence agreement with the EFL Championship, covers logos, kits, match balls and trophies. SI don't request the stadium license as it would be far too big an undertaking to design and create every stadium for clubs that they have the rights for.
SI confirmed that the time and resources it would take simply don't exist and pointed out that EAFC/FIFA don't have the majority of licensed stadiums in game for similar reasons, it's too big an undertaking,
Fast forward to July 2024, SI have confirmed that Stadiums will look better in FM25, but SI can't make Stadiums look exactly like their real life counterparts due to not having the licences for the stadiums.
So there we have it a very short and sweet answer, yes we will get improved stadiums in FM25 but SI have not invested time and resources or secured Licences to build realistic stadiums into FM25.
Obviously if this changes I will eat humble pie on the matter but I don't think realistic licensed stadiums or a stadium editor will be in FM25 or the near future.
